       Susquehanna Surgery Center, Inc. (SSCI), in Bloomsburg, is now celebrating nine years of business and has successfully passed annual State and Medicare licensing, as well as rigorous accreditation process by the Accreditation Association of Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), the accrediting body for ambulatory surgery centers, such as SSCI.

            The AAAHC only accredits organizations that are committed to providing high-quality health care and services, as reflected in their standards.

            SSCI is proud to be one of over 3,200 ambulatory health care organizations in the country accredited by the AAAHC.  With AAAHC accreditation, SSCI continues its dedication to critically evaluate its own performance.

            SSCI proudly offers services in:  Orthopaedic Surgery, General Surgery, Podiatry, Urology, Ear, Nose and Throat, Lower level and Advanced Pain Management,  Gynecology and Ophthalmology. 

            With an overload of surgeons on staff at the local hospitals operating room time has become quite a prime commodity.  Waiting times to get patients in need of an out patient surgery procedure can sometimes take several weeks.  With this in mind, it was felt that an ambulatory surgery center would be an ideal solution both for patients and busy Physicians.  SSCI welcomes all area surgeons to become part of the staff of SSCI.  SSCI is a state of the art facility with patient satisfaction surveys coming in at 97% and physician surveys coming in at 100% meaning that both patients as well as their doctors are exceptionally pleased with SSCI and what it has to offer.

            Lehigh Anesthesia provides SSCI with anesthesia services and has been in operation since the late 1970s.  Not only do they provide services to SSCI, they also provide services to many of the surgery centers in the northeastern region of the state.

            SSCI is located on the campus of Susquehanna Valley Healthcare Complex, at 6850 Lows Road Bloomsburg, which is conveniently located between Bloomsburg and Berwick and has easy access to Interstate 80.  SSCI accepts almost all Insurances including GHP.
